Super Exciting, Fantastic, Amazing, Wonderful BLOG

By trinityridge in personal

So, today I realized that my blog might sort of possibly be boring.  Well, actually, it's full of gorgeous portraits - which are interesting....and a few comments about them which are not.  So, I decided that I MUST put something on this blog that is about me.  The trouble is, I've been so consumed by my career as a wedding photographer that not much "about me" has survived.  I have been living and breathing weddings for 4 years straight.  In between all those glorious weddings is retouching on the computer - and for me personally, it's a 40-60 hour a week job.  Now, ask me if I love weddings and everything that comes along with them?  Oh - absolutely!!!  I do it because it is the only job in the world I could imagine doing.  So, here's the part where life gets tricky!  I'm learning to balance my life and my business.  Who knew they were separate?  LOL  Hopefully, in the near future - you'll be reading about all of my sorted attempts to be a "real" person again - and I'm sure most of them will be comical.  Until then, I leave you with a quote:

"All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence. "

Vintage wedding portraits and antique cars. :)

What could be better than a having a bride with amazing taste, a groom who's down with having his portrait taken, a sweet antique Impala, and a gorgeous Alabama day?  Ah, yes, some awesome vintage wedding portraits to remember them by. ;)  I've been editing Marcus and Gayle's wedding which took place in Decatur, Alabama - and I just had to share these three portraits.  Enjoy!

A few more from Kim and Jade's Wedding in Harrison, AR

So, I haven't posted a blog in almost a week!  How awful is that?!  Actually, I had the stomach flu - which is quite nasty.  Now, I'm finally able to sit upright and think complete thoughts.  LOL  So...I thought I would post a few portraits from Kim and Jade's wedding in Harrison, AR.  It was a beautiful more traditional wedding at the Mary Mother of God Catholic Church, and then a gorgeous fall reception at a farm outside of town.  Loved it!  Anyways, enjoy!

More from Leah and Jay's Engagement session :)

So, in case you haven't read the story already - I must tell you that Leah and Jay's E-Session was a blast.  They came up to Eureka Springs from Little Rock just for our shoot - and we definitely made it worth their drive!  We took portraits all around Eureka and went to this cool little hole in the wall restaurant for lunch called "Oasis".  Yum.  Then we drove them all the way over to Jasper and the Buffalo River (one of the most beautiful places on earth).  It's not really our typical approach to shot - but Leah and I have talked so much since she booked us - I already felt like we were best friends - so we just went all out for the shoot!  Anyways, here a few from their session - and there will definitely be more to come. :)

DWF was AWESOME! :)

I'm finally back home from the Digital Wedding Forum's Convention in Nashville, TN!  I had such an awesome time learning from some of the best wedding photographers in the world.  I had the opportunity to learn from Jerry Ghionis, Cliff Mautner, Kevin Kubota, David Beckstead, Jim Garner, Gene Higa, Melissa Tirado, and Chuck Arlund.  They were all fantastic - although I have to admit I have a sweet spot for Jerry. ;)  Anyways, I thought I would post a few pics from the trip even though most of the time I was too busy to pick up the camera!  The first portrait is from a session I had with David Beckstead.  The second and third portraits are Dad's.  He took them on our way out of Tennessee. :)  Super cool!
