Wow.  That's the word that comes to mind when I look back on this session with Michael and Lane.  These are two completely gorgeous people.  We had the privilege of shooting their engagement session on Lane's Dad's property in the country - and it was beautiful!  He has an amazing cabin as well, which is where we shot the pool table scenes.  LOVED IT!!!

So, a few months ago, I was contacted by this beautiful young model - Taylor.  We had lunch, talked about shoot ideas and wardrobe, and everything fun in between.  Since then we've been plotting our takeover of the local modeling world, lol, and we've gotten to do one fun session.  I have to say, Taylor's a natural when it comes to modeling.  I've worked with some beautiful people in my lifetime, but it takes a lot more than beauty to model.  When you get behind the lens, you realize it's all about angles and how a girl/woman carries herself.  Does she know how to position her body to flatter herself and what she's wearing, do her eyes look inviting or expressionless, does she have a wide range of movement, does she have a cooperative and willing attitude, etc.?  Taylor is wondeful to work with and has a grasp on all of these things - can't wait to see what she does with them in the future!  Anyways, here are just a few from our session in October - more to come so stay tuned!  P.S.  Feel free to leave comments here and check us out on facebook, too - www.facebook.com/trinityridge. :)

Trying to post chronologically here! LOL!  We were lucky enough to photograph Matt and Sonya's engagement session back in August and then their wedding in October.  They were such a fun couple - always smiling and really enjoying having their portraits taken. :)  Here are a few of our faves from their wedding day - Enjoy!

There are a large group of people in the world who think too much. I am definitely one of those people, although I believe I've toned it down over the last 10 years or so. Today I was being thoughtful as usual, and thought it best to ponder on the things I like - rather than what I dislike. Yesterday was Halloween, and I LOVE Halloween. :) I love taking my kids trick-or-treating on the same streets my parents took me when I was little. Plus, Halloween is the anniversary of the day I first got my three oldest children.  (They came into my foster care 9 years ago yesterday, and I adopted them a few years later!)   I love 75 degree days in the middle of Fall when the trees are on fire and it's warm enough for me to enjoy them. I like unexpected romance from unexpected people. I like the truth that some relationships really do last forever, and that statistics don't dictate our futures - we do. I like to remind myself that individuals are priceless and valuable because there will never be another just like them. I love the reality of the butterfly effect. I see the ripples and waves and even hurricanes all the time - and I wonder how many I have started myself. Lastly for now, I love how God is the ultimate comforter, mender, gatherer of broken pieces, and rebuilder if needed. Life is good, so if there be any good things - think on these.

Ron and Rikki had a gorgeous outdoor wedding at Lydia's Place in Mountain Home, AR.  Even though a little storm blew in and it rained after the wedding - it was still such a beautiful Summer day. :)  Here are a few of our faves from the wedding day - hope you enjoy!
